Seems Like Science Fiction
I had endometriosis since I was 17, and the only treatment at the time was birth control pills or a hysterectomy. My choice was the birth control pills. Although it only slowed down the disease, I eventually had to have surgery, but unfortunately the doctor was unable to get all of it. So even after 6 months of painful intramuscular hormone shots and resulting acne, it recurred. So I was back to birth control pills again until finally a cure was found for me.
Believe me, I couldn’t have made it without the birth control pills and the pain pills I was given! They saved my life. I never had children and ended up finally beating the disease, but without the birth control pills, my life would have been worse than a living hell. As it was, I was still in excruciating pain monthly and had clots that passed through me that I could feel.
For all those other women out there, please try to understand what it can be like and don’t prevent them from getting this desperately needed drug.
