I was 29 years old and had been with my boyfriend for nine years when I got pregnant. I was not on any birth control at the time. When I found out I was pregnant I burst into tears. I knew my boyfriend did not want any children.

“My problem was I let him him make the decision for me.”

I told him I was pregnant, and he said “Are you going to raise this child as a single parent?” He drove me to the appointment and paid for it. I was devastated. I had always wanted to be a mom and the abortion (an E&C) was painful.

Every woman should have the choice to make her own decision. My problem was I let him him make the decision for me. I didn’t think I would ever have a child but I got pregnant again and had my beautiful daughter two months before I turned 41.

I’m so glad I had her at that age because I appreciated her so much more. She is my world, and I love her very much.
