Pro-choice & Christian

Once I turned 18 I lost the health insurance I had through my father. A majority of my adult life has been without medical insurance.

“A majority of my adult life has been without medical insurance.”

Thankfully I could go to Planned Parenthood. I had been bleeding for weeks when I went there. I was then diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries.

To regulate my system I have had to take birth control pills since I was 22.

If it wasn’t for Planned Parenthood, I do not know what I would have done when I didn’t have insurance. Ironically, women in this country are divided about funding family planning programs.

I am Pro-Choice and a Christian.

Women in this country need to stand up and say to men, “This is my body and I choose what happens to it!”

We can still believe what we believe. But empowering women only helps society. When we are able to make informed decisions, not forced decisions, women are able to take more control of their lives and teach our children to respect our choices.

This also leads to women teaching their daughters to be more pro-active. This also leads us to teach our sons how women should be treated. Only good can come from this.
