I am the single mother of three children. When I divorced their father, who was abusive to the point of bringing a loaded shotgun to the house threateningly, I was pregnant with our 4th child and had extreme morning sickness to the point of hospitalization. If abortion had not been an available option to me, I would not have been able to work and take care of the children I already had during the long pregnancy I faced. Four years later, I’m working towards getting my law degree and working as a paralegal. Protecting reproductive rights protects women which protects their families.
